Director Responsibility, Operational Policies, Record Keeping, Training of Staff, Business Plans, Safety, Discipline and Guidance, Preventing Communicable Diseases, & Transportation Safety and more.
With this course, students will learn how to set goals, make sure they are specific, measurable, attainable, and have a specific time frame. Students will demonstrate knowledge and skills learned during this course.
If ordering by mail, students will receive a 3 ring binder which consists of the course materials, tests, and forms required by State Licensing. The binder is yours to keep. Please scan and e-mail the test questions along with the application packet.
If taking the course online, course content, tests and clock hour certificates are issued same day of completion. If you take the course in class, certificates are issued same day!
For both online and by mail, you will need a copy of the State Minimum Standards (found on our website).

We offer first-time or renewable director certifications that are valid 1 or 2 years.
What are the requirements to become a Director?
In order to qualify as a day care director, you must meet all state licensing requirements, including:
1. 21 years of age
2. High School diploma or GED
3. Two years of experience working in a licensed child care center (paid or non-paid)
4. Copy of the State Minimum Standards
